Ramana NV

Ramana has more than 30 years of experience in developing and scaling up of agri business models, and agriculture value chain financing. He holds Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from IIM, Ahmedabad and Bachelors in Dairy Technology from National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, Haryana.

During his tenure in ITC for more than 20 years in various capacities, established agri business division, pioneered seed business, procurement, processing and bulk marketing of edible oils, export of cattle feed, management of third party manufacturing of edible oils, monitoring of international and domestic markets of grains, cereals and oil seeds.

His experienceas group CEO and Managing Director of BASIXisknown for scaling up of turnover from Rs. 1 Billion to 5 billion by increasing the client base from fifty thousand to half a million in a span of 4 years. He also introduced index based weather insurance in Andhra Pradesh state in collaboration with world bank.

He has also worked with Indian Society for Agribusiness professionals and Sa- Dhan, Arora Business School at C- Level positions. He worked as advisor and consultant to many organisations viz., World Bank, Samunnati Value Chain finance, Maanaveeya Finance, GIZ, Practical Action, Access Development Servicesand supported the agri value chain and commodity market interventions, agri value chain finance, warehouse finance.


Narender Kande

Narender has about three decades of management and leadership experience with large scale community development programs in India. Narender worked as Country lead for community systems strengthening at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for the last 6 years. Over the years, he worked with various leading development organizations such as PRADAN, DHAN Foundation and Sir Ratan Tata Trust and led the portfolio of programs that focused on building community institutions and promoting rural livelihoods. Narender has worked closely with various community organizations, NGOs, National Banks, Government and World Bank including the National Rural Livelihoods Mission. Narender holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Rural Management from Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA), Gujarat, India.


Ramakrishna Devabhaktuni

Ramakrishna Devabhaktuni has about four decades of diversified experience. In the beginning of his career, he served more than 20 years in Indian Air Force in different capacities. He was known for his sports and fitness coachingand his hand ball team stood first throughout his coaching period. He started his second innings as an entrepreneur and entered plastic industry. He has developed variety of plastic moulds and he was one among the few who introduced CNC machine in Hyderabad.

His third innings took totally a different turn. He got attracted to organic farming, undergone several training programmes on the same and experimented organic farming on his own in 40 acres. At present, he has been guiding, advising, training and supporting many farmers on cultivation of organic farming for the past 10 years. He also created WIN-WIN platform for organic farmers, wholesale and retail traders, agriculture officials and he has been organising so effectively for the past 3 years.


C.S. Reddy

C.S. Reddy is the founding CEO & Managing Director of MAS (formerly known as APMAS) and Sadhikaratha Foundation, a not-for-profit national level technical support organization with a vision “Sustainable Women Self Help Movement in India”. He has over 28 years of experience in the development sector, particularly in the microfinance and livelihood sectors focusing on community based model of microfinance and livelihoods. Mr. Reddy works closely with Government of India and State Governments of Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Telangana, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh on various policy issues and advise them on program implementation.

Mr. Reddy is deeply engaged in promoting self-regulation of women SHGs and SHG federations, formation of farmers’ producer organizations and facilitating Government – NGO collaboration to maximize impact. He has extensively written and spoke about the SHG movement in India and the strategies to sustain the movement. He worked with CARE International in India for a period of 12 years. He has been a visiting faculty at the Coady International Institute, Canada for the past 6 years teaching international certificate courses on community based microfinance in Canada, Ethiopia and India. He provided advisory and consultancy services to the IFAD, World Bank, DFID, CGAP, GIZ Germany, DGRV Germany, CARE, CRS, Raks Thai Foundation of Thailand, State Governments and a large number of NGOs in India. He is supporting development programs in many of the developing countries in Africa.

Mr. Reddy is a member of the Board of Trustees of Commitments NGO, member of the Managing Committee of Stree Nidhi, a State Level Apex Financial Cooperative of women SHG federations, of Government of Telangana. He is on the Executive Committee of the Smart Andhra Pradesh Foundation, established by Government of Andhra Pradesh. He was a member of the India Planning Commission constituted Steering Committee on Rural Livelihoods & Rural Governance for the 12th Five Year Plan. He also chaired a Working Group on National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) to make recommendations for the next five years.
